On March 10, 2022, IRRPP welcomed Dorothy A. Brown, Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Law at Emory, for this year's Bowman Lecture. Dr. Brown discussed her latest book The Whiteness of Wealth: How the Tax System Impoverishes Black Americans — and How We Can Fix It. Dr. Brown is a nationally recognized scholar in the areas of race, class, and tax policy and the author of numerous law review articles, book chapters, and essays on the topic. After the lecture, Dr. Brown was in conversation with Dr. Phillip Bowman (University of Michigan) and Dr. Amanda E. Lewis (UIC).
