IRRPP fellowships are part of our Institute’s Faculty Development Program, which supports UIC faculty doing research on racial equity that have the potential to contribute to policy conversations and actions. Fellowships provide faculty the time and resources for research and to support new community engagement.

The Institute is one of very few entities on campus providing a robust faculty development program. In particular, we serve and support a large number of underrepresented faculty on campus. Each year, IRRPP awards between $150,000 to $200,000 to support the vital research of UIC scholars and holds WriteOut! workshops for scholars to support their writing as well as Policy 101 workshops to increase the impact and visibility of their research by participating in public policy conversations.
