Stephanie Brown is the Program Assistant for the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy (IRRPP) at UIC. Her scholarly work is interdisciplinary research with primary focuses on the intersectionality of Race, gender and sexuality. She has completed a Master of Public Administration where her primary studies focused on the Chicago Police Department most recent use of force policy implementation regarding race, gender and sexuality. Stephanie is passionate about IRRPP's mission and the amazing work that is done at the institute to better the lives of the people in Chicago.
Outside of academia, Stephanie is a Michigan native who has lived in Chicago for over 5 years, primarily on the city’s west side. She is active with the Westside Mutual Aid, a program that helps to deliver food boxes to West Austin Residents.
