Maximilian Cuddy is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research examines both the mechanisms of racial inequality and how individuals make sense of, navigate, defend and resist these inequalities. His dissertation examines how the politics of race and class shape schools and neighborhoods. He has experience both project managing team-based data collection and leading the analysis of large-scale qualitative datasets. Maximilian has a B.A. Sociology and African American Studies from Temple University and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
