Comparing predicted job accessibility with the commuting burden of public transit

IRRPP faculty fellows David López-Garcia and Kate Lowe have just published the results of their research comparing models of job accessibility with commuting patterns to explore the role that race plays in the determination of travel times and the quality of jobs and earnings accessible to Chicagoans. Click the link to read their working paper on the distribution of relative commuting burden and the extent to which people of color access quality jobs without an excessive burden.
