Policy 101 Workshop Series
Telling A Story About Your Research,
a workshop for UIC students and faculty

RSVP through our website. Please note that, due to the limited capacity of the event, this workshop is limited to UIC graduate students and faculty members. We are asking UIC grad students and faculty who RSVP for the event to make a firm commitment to come to the event and to be ready to discuss their research.


About the Event: Join IRRPP, IPCE, and IGPA for a workshop with storytelling coach Gordon Mayer to develop a story about your research, create a media message, and promote you work with public audiences. Gordon Mayer has over 20 years of experience consulting and coaching stakeholders to ensure that those invested have a hand in shaping effective and fair policy.

About the Series: The goal of the Policy 101 Workshop Series is to increase the impact and visibility of UIC scholars’ research. Policy 101 workshops provide UIC faculty and graduate students with focused training that increases their ability to participate in public policy conversations. Policy 101 workshops are taught by professionals and academics who are experts at translating academic research into policy-ready documents, policy presentations and civic engagement and will be offered bi-annually on a rotating basis.
