The Latino Neighborhoods Report: Issues and Prospects for Chicago

The Latino Neighborhoods Report: Issues and Prospects for Chicago is a new report released by the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy and UIC’s Great Cities Institute. The report, which was developed for Metropolitan Family Services, presents demographic characteristics of Latinos in Chicago, examines the neighborhoods with a majority Latino population, and finds that opportunities and services for Latinos are not keeping up with the population’s growth. The report author is José Miguel Acosta-Córdova, a research assistant with IRRPP, the James J. Stukel Student Fellow in the Great Cities Institute, and a UIC graduate student in urban planning and policy.
