Participatory Research Event

Workshop for faculty funded by IRRPP

When: Friday, April 10, 2015, from 9:00am to 11:30am, followed by lunch

Where: UIC Daley Library Conference Room 1-740, 801 S. Morgan, Chicago, IL 60607

Join IRRPP for a workshop where panelists will discuss the importance and principles of participatory research, how to put these principles into practice boefore, during, and after a participatory research project as well as how the practice of participatory research can prodcue policy change.

Valuing and bringing community knowledge / expertise and academic knowledge / expertise together through a collaborative relationship.

Community Priorities: Research and outcomes are driven by community-identified needs.

Action / Policy Change: Knowledge created by research is used to transform and tackle urgent community needs and has programmatic and policy outcomes.
