By Francesca Gaiba

When: Thursday October 1, 1 - 3 pm
Where: 330 CUPPA Hall, 412 S. Peoria St.

Series: funding Funding Workshops

Have you ever needed to know the following:

  • What is ICR? Is it different from overhead?
  • Why does the university take a portion of my grant?
  • What is tuition remission, or course buyout, or a sabbatical supplement?
  • I need funding. Where do I start?

Come to IRRPP to find out the answers. We are pleased to offer the following grant workshop for faculty. This workshop will provide an overview of the process of applying for external funding at UIC, and highlight internal UIC funding as well as federal and private foundations that fund research on race/ethnicity.

This workshop is intended for all faculty and researchers at UIC doing research on race/ethnicity, but it is especially useful for junior faculty and investigators new to UIC. Graduate students are welcome, but they are encouraged to attend the grant workshop specific to graduate students offered in Spring 2013.

This event is open to UIC faculty and graduate students. An RSVP is required.
